Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

WHAT IS FASD?

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) are a group of diagnosable medical conditions that can occur in a person who was exposed to alcohol before birth.

Effects are lifelong and can include mental health conditions, learning disabilities, sensory issues, and physical manifestations such as heart defects, hearing, visual impairments, and more.

The Papillion Center is the FASD United Affiliate for Tennessee.

BRAIN-online

We’re excited to recommend BRAIN-online, a web-based tool that helps identify cognitive and behavioral patterns commonly linked to fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). If you suspect that you or a loved one may have FASD, this screening can serve as a valuable first step toward seeking a diagnosis.

The assessment is conducted online from your own computer and takes less than an hour to complete. Your participation will contribute to ongoing research on cognitive function in both children and adults, and you’ll also have the chance to receive feedback.
